Erik Heuler joined Peter Caradonna Architecture and Planning in the Spring of 2005 as his first job in the architecture field. Mr. Heuler has been working on a variety of projects focusing on construction documentation and materials research.
A passion for environmentally responsible architecture is what attracted him to the office of Peter Caradonna Architects and is something he has been involved with as a student at New York Institute of Architecture. Currently in his final year of his architecture education at NYIT Mr. Heuler has been involved in a number of projcets, including the 2005 Solar Decathlon which will feature a self sustaining home desinged and built by NYIT students on the Washington Mall.
The project has helped build his interest and knowledge of sustainable architecutre which continues with is involvement in projects such as the Lurall Hill School and the Seatuck Environmental Center. Mr. Heuler’s dedication to envirnomental design continues with his active membership of the Long Island Chapter of the United States Green Building Council as the new chair of the Emerging Green Builders committee.
