Project Architect


Christine Marie Caruso joined peterCARADONNArchitecture and Planning in April 2004, and has been involved in the designing, construction documentation, construction observation, and project management of various residential and commercial projects. Commercial projects include East Setauket Fire Department, The Laurel Hill School, and The Village of Port Jefferson’s Chandlery Restoration. She also has worked on several green residential designs involving structural insulated panels.

Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Caruso worked with Bartlett, Amoruso and Reece Architects/School Construction Consultants, working with Nassau BOCES Board of Cooperative Educational Services clientele on various school projects, involving space and equipment planning, renovation work and new construction work. She also has worked with Deer Park Union Free School District clientele on various school renovations. She has also experience working with other architects on such projects as Suffolk County Court Building in Riverhead, Southwest Airlines Terminal in MacArthur Airport, and First Aviation Services Airport Terminal in New Jerseys Teterboro Airport. She has also interior design experience with New York Institute of Technology’s Tower Hall.

As a transfer scholarship student at New York Institute of Technology in 1998, Mrs. Caruso was a Deans List honor student. Mrs. Caruso and her husband Christopher Caruso were awarded an Honorable Mention out of 600 students at the Palos Verdes Art Center in 2001 at a California design competition. Her final Thesis Project was honorably displayed at Education Hall at the Old Westbury Campus of NYIT in 2002. Mrs. Caruso studied in Art and Architecture in Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Spain for a NYIT accredited summer program. She is also well versed in architectural delineation, as well as computer generated 3-D rendering.

Mrs. Caruso completed in 2002 New York Institute of Technology’s five-year program in four years, and graduated with Bachelor of Architecture. She also graduated from Suffolk County Community College with an associate’s degree majoring in Liberal Arts and minoring in Fine Arts. She thoroughly completed NCARB’s Independent Development Program for architectural interns, and is currently studying for the New York State Architectural Licensing test. Mrs. Caruso currently is a member of the United States Green Building Council’s Long Island Chapter, and USGBC Membership Chair
